Thomas E. Simmons, an attorney with GPNA, helps individuals plan for the future. He has developed a practice devoted to estate planning, elder law, property and probate. Tom uses effective legal tools to advance and achieve numerous objectives, from protecting seniors and exploitation to minimizing exposure to federal estate tax.
Tom devotes time every year to writing and speaking on important issues in areas like trust law. He has pioneered the availability of a pooled trust for individuals with disabilities, the first of its kind in South Dakota. As the founder and chairperson of the South Dakota State Bar's Elder Law Committee, he helps draft new legislation to ensure that legal proceedings work effectively and efficiently when the need arises.
Tom has lived in Rapid City, South Dakota since 1975. He is also licensed in the states of Nebraska and Wyoming.
